The Deutschlandstipendium wants to form a network and put the interaction between donors and scholarship holders in the foreground. At the awarding of the scholarship, at our annual summer party or at digital meetings, the exchange between both sides is a priority and allows us to grow together.

After a two-year forced break, our Deutschlandstipendien Business Breakfast finally took place again on 15 February 2023: Around 50 sponsors met for the New Year's breakfast in the old Solingen main station, which had been converted into the Forum Product Design, and used the time for a sociable exchange and to get to know the Chair for New Manufacturing Technology and Materials, which is based there. After a warm welcome by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Birgitta Wolff, Prof. Dr. Arne Röttger opened his lecture with exciting insights into his complex field of teaching and encouraged the audience to engage in interested conversations. In addition, he and his team offered the opportunity to visit the laboratory facilities and thus gain a deeper impression of the subject. As an additional offer, the neighbouring Museum Plagiarius opened its doors and offered interested visitors a short discourse into the realm of product copies.

All in all, we can look back with great satisfaction on a convivial, relaxed, informative and professionally interesting morning, for the success of which we would like to thank everyone involved - from the sponsors to the numerous members of the rectorate team and the staff of the department!
