Application procedure

General information on applications:

Applications for the next academic year are open from 17 June to 14 August 2023 via our online application process.

You can save your application and continue it at a later date within the application period.

Please have the following documents ready as a PDF document:

Incomplete applications will not be considered!

    Letter of motivation (max. 1 page)
    Curriculum vitae in tabular form incl. educational background
    Current certificate of study
    Current proof of academic achievements (WUSEL/StudiLöwe excerpt), if applicable, already acquired certificates of achievement)
    Proof of financial situation (current account statements with the turnover of the last three complete months)
    Current reference (from the current semester, not older than six months) on your student achievements by a professor or by a member of staff with a doctorate from your own degree programme at Bergische Universität
    Certificate from the BAföG office confirming the obligatory BAföG counselling by Ms Arnold: ME 3, Room 2, Tel.: 439 2571, arnold@hsw.uni-wuppertal.de
    For foreign students, a copy of the passport with a reference to the respective residence title.

If applicable:

    Proof of other financial support, if applicable
    if applicable, proof of extracurricular/social commitment.

Please note that your attachments must not exceed a file size of 19 MB!
