Summer party 2017 for scholarship holders and sponsors

Scholarship holders and sponsors came together on June 21 in fabulous summer weather at the "Pub" of the University of Wuppertal for the annual summer party as part of the Deutschlandstipendium.

They were first welcomed by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Michael Scheffel. He got the guests in the mood for the evening and announced the subsequent lecture by Prof. Dr. Roland Goertz, Chair of Chemical Safety and Fire Prevention, on the topic of "Fire - Chemistry and Physics between Comfort and Threat". During the entertaining but extremely informative lecture, the focus was on fire protection. Using practical examples, Prof. Dr. Goertz demonstrated the flammability of various substances and impressed his audience.

Afterwards, the more relaxed part of the event awaited the guests. During an extensive dinner, sponsors and scholarship holders got to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed the summer evening together on the terrace.
